Reviews
Stopped here on the way to a Bruce Springsteen concert at Wrigley Field. I ordered the brunch burger. The burger patty was a mixture of beef and chorizo - very tasty. I have this a 4 star review because the waitress was slow to take our order, my tots came out luke warm, and half our groups order came out 15 minutes after the others. The experience wasn't a total loss. I will give this place another chance next time I come to town.
Great neighborhood pub with decent grub. It gets a little loud on the weekends, especially during football season (looking at you Ohio people ha). Great for brunch and hangover food. Bartenders have a good sense of humor.
The food here is really kind of the star of the shelf for somebody that's not in Ohio buckeye fan anyway... The southern fried chicken sandwich ( not original) is definitely top five in the city hop for the spicy mayo on the side. The cheese curds are absolutely top two in the city. The chicken tenders looked amazing I would say probably definitely top five in the city... This is some pretty high numbers for a bar with a ton of taps good selections of beer and actually pretty comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely be back. The service was great too, I have to say just not all around top 10 bar in Chicago
I simply LOVE The Butcher's Tap. The restaurant is located at Southport and Addison nestled in the super cute Lakeview neighborhood. It is just two blocks from Wrigley Field and is easily accessible by multiple forms of public transportation. The menu is imaginative and yummy. The restaurant is always very clean and lovely. The staff is on it and fun to talk to while you dine. This is a wonderful place to catch a game, play trivia and bingo, take in some live music, or even catch a taping of a podcast. The vibe is always on and they have great spaces for private events. Check it. <3
I went during the day on a weekday. It had a totally relaxed vibe. Great local beer selection. The cheese curds were the star of lunch. We also had a delicious burger and onion rings. The turkey sandwich was just okay. A great place to chill out for a couple hours in the afternoon.
Great place for personal parties! You can have a private area upstairs with the large windows open so it doesn’t get too hot. There is a bar in the middle and two bathrooms so you can keep your entire party upstairs. Best time is to make your party Thursday between 7-9pm and then at 9:30 karaoke starts. My group wasn’t planning on karaoke but it was perfect timing because we got to continue the fun. 10/10 recommend had a blast and everyone on staff was so kind and accommodating.
The Butchers Tap is a vintage neighborhood bar that has an original tin ceiling, and dark wood throughout . The service was amiable and prompt. Menu is usual bar food with sandwiches, flatbreads, and salads. There is a list of appetizers. A huge selection of draft beers is offered. We left curious about the advertised Buckeye Bomb drink.
Food is consistently good with nice servers, but it’s always so godawful loud in this place. It has terrible acoustics with everyone shouting over the huge speakers blaring at full volume and at all hours. Very unpleasant
